Whats Included With Standard Satellite Dish Removal

Below you will find whats included with standard satellite dish removal. We have covered the process from beginning to end of satellite dish removal. If you have a questions that are not covered below, please reach out to us so we can clarify before we start your job.

DO YOU HAUL AWAY THE DISH AND ALL ITS PARTS?

Yes we do haul it all away from your home or business. All parts that make up your satellite dish which are the dish, arm, bracket, coax cable that are shown in the photo below will be removed from your property.

All the parts to the satellite dish that was remove and hauled away to the recycling center.

DO YOU FILL THE HOLES LEFT FROM THE SATELLITE DISH?

Holes that secure the satellite dish brackets in place, will have the plastic anchors drilled out and removed, they will then be filled with white or clear silicone sealer as this material provides the best durability and longevity to wood, stucco, and brick surfaces. Silicon allows us to inject it deep inside the hole to seal around the building paper and wire mesh behind the stucco, sealing it from water entering your interior of your home and causing mold and water damage to occur.

Plastic anchors were drilled out and the old caulk was scraped and removed from the stucco.
All holes are then filled with caulk so that water and moister will not penetrate the interior of your home causing mold and water damage.

DO YOU REMOVE ALL THE COAX CABLE WIRES?

Coax cables will be removed from the back of the satellite dish along the exterior of your home to the point of entry into the house.

Coax cable will be cut at the connection point at the satellite dish and removed beginning at this point.

DO YOU REMOVE THE COAX CABLE THAT ENTERS THE HOUSE?

The coax cable that enters the house was installed by drilling a 1/2 inch hole and inserting a plastic bushing that allows the coax cable to be inserted into the interior of your house. After it was installed it was then caulked. We will remove the old caulk, drill out the old plastic bushing and then fill the hole with silicone caulk to seal out moisture from reaching the interior of your home.

The hole is now filled with white caulk, that we inject into the hole, to seal out water and moister from entering your house and creating mold and water damage.

DO YOU REMOVE THE COAX CABLE CLIPS?

Coax cable clip secure the coax cable to the exterior of your home. The installer drilled a 1/4 inch hole and inserted a plastic anchor to secure the clip with a screw that is driven into the anchor. We will remove the clip, drill out the old plastic anchor and then fill the hole with clear or white silicone caulk to seal out water and moisture from entering your home.

DO YOU RECYCLE THE SATELLITE DISHES?

Yes we are doing our part to recycle according to the California State Law enacting the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003. Satellite dishes contain electronic parts such as circuit boards which can contain, gold, copper, silver, aluminum, lead, iron, tin, nickel, cobalt, and more. The metal parts such as the dish reflector, mast clamp, arm, mast, and mounting bracket all can be recycled for their metal content. The coax cables contains metals like copper that can be recycled.
